I know i havent put anythin up in ages, and ive got other stuff to put up but i thought id make my 50th deviation special. THe outline for this was traced from a picture of psylocke from ultimate x-men by Chris Bachalo. I converted it into Illyana Nikolevena Rasputina. aka Magik aka The Darkchylde. The colours didnt come out quite as hoped due to the tracing paper. Oh, and the thing underneath her is a teleportation disc.

Wow, that was worth the wait! You definitely put some work into this one, and it paid off. I'm diggin' the well-shaped horns.

I wouldn't have guessed it was based off of a tracing! :]

Good use of shape, the tail sweeps nicely around, and isn't too narrow or wide where it shouldn't be. Same for the horns and the body, too, actually.

Once again, the penstrokes are visible.. oh, just wondering, ever tried CG? I started off yaers ago scanning my drawings in and playing with PSP7 :3 You might enjoy playing with CG software, so give it a try sometime, if you haven't already.

Id like to try digital colouring, its just getting started and finding the patience to practice til i get it right. The whole outline is traced, all i added are the horns, tail and the whole costume. Oh and the aura around the hands.

Good luck with all your future digital work! Once you get started, you'll find all sorts of different programs and when you finally settle on one (or a couple, as some people have) you'll even begin to find new techniques and develop your own style in that program.
